As I stand at the threshold of this new chapter, I am filled with excitement and gratitude to be joining the Grace United Church family. I want to extend a warm welcome to all of you, and express my deepest gratitude for the warm reception I've received thus far. It is an honor to walk alongside each of you as we journey together in faith, hope, and love of Jesus our Lord and savior.

In the short term, my goal is to get to know each of you, and to listen to your stories, struggles, and dreams. I believe that by building strong relationships and fostering a sense of community, we can create a vibrant and inclusive space where everyone feels valued and loved. Over the next few months, I look forward to visiting with various groups and individuals, attending events, and engaging in conversations that will help shape our journey together.

As we look to the long term, my vision for Grace United Church is one of growth, renewal, and service. I envision a church that is deeply rooted in its faith, yet open to the movement of the Holy Spirit; a church that is committed to serving the local community and beyond; and a church that is a beacon of hope and light in the city of Weyburn. I believe that together, we can achieve great things and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those around us.

To achieve this vision, we will focus on several key areas, including spiritual growth, community engagement, and outreach. We will explore new ways to deepen our faith, support one another, and serve our neighbors in need. Whether it's through worship, study, service, or fellowship, I invite you to join me on this journey, and to be part of shaping the future of Grace United Church.

As we embark on this journey together, I am reminded of the words of Jesus, "I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly." (John 10:10) May we be a people who embody this abundant life, and who share it generously with others. I look forward to walking this path with you, and to seeing the amazing things God will do in and through us.

Peace and blessings,

Rev. Trust (Igbekele)
