Rev. Trust has been serving the United Church of Canada for 6 years, bringing a warm, compassionate presence to the life of the congregation. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Rev. Trust carries with him a deep appreciation for community, connection and the sacred moments found in everyday life.

Rev. Oluwayemi felt called to join Grace United Church, Weyburn community because its welcoming spirit, commitment to outreach, strong intergenerational connections and vibrant worship life. From their first visit, Trust felt a sense of belonging and sensed that this was a place where they could both offer their gifts and continue growing in faith alongside others.

In ministry, Rev. Trust is passionate about meaningful worship, pastoral care, social justice, spiritual formation, community engagement. He believes in walking with people through all seasons of life—celebrating joys, offering comfort during challenges and helping individuals discover how their faith speaks into daily living.

​

When not at the church, Rev. Trust enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with family, music and gaming, often finding inspiration for sermons and teachings in the ordinary stories and encounters of the week.

Rev. Trust is grateful for the opportunity to journey with the Grace United Church congregation and looks forward to continuing to grow, learn, and serve together.​
